this may sound like a silly question but can someone tell me what happens to our body when we drink? i.e in food terms... food enters the mouth, travels down the oesophagus etc.... what happens to the fluid? is it absorbed and where? thankyou
the kidneys are working all the time to produce urine min of about 40 mls an hour for good function, as you will know the kidneys are the washing machine of the body.
so deal with fluld not required for body functions
Somewhat simplistically:
Fluids are adsorbed into your blood, through the vessels in the wall of your gut. Most of them end up leaving your blood, via your kidneys, into your urine. But some of them will be lost through perspiration or other bodily fluids, while some will be retained within the body's cellular structures.
obviously fluid mixes with the food we eat in the stomach, what happens from there on? i'm trying to get it explained in a simple way(if possible) to start me off. Then i'll have a basic understanding, and go from there on. I know i may sound daft, sorry.
haha how did you guess? yes i am. The stupid thing is, i learn things and i know things and i'm not dim, yet sometimes i get a sudden brain block and it frustrates me. I don't know whether its because i'm taking in so much that my head gets full and panics! it annoys me. I'm trying to think of things to help stimulate my brain cells!
