Building works?

We live in York opposite the nestle factory that is having demolition done, and the workers are still making loads of noise at 10 at night, surely this isn't right, I'm sure we had a letter that mentioned until 8. Are they actually allowed to do building work at this hour?

Your local council will have rules about this sort of thing.
Let the Planning Department know.
There are usual strict time-limits in place on such projects to prevent 'nuisance'.
I always thought it was 8 til 8 (could be wrong) check with your local council
Our Council usually allows 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday and 9-1 on Saturdays. If they have planning permission call the planning team, if they are just demolishing without subsequent planning permission then call Environmental Protection.
