Just out of curiosity, how do the questions get repeated into the thread-page.  I assumed this was automatic but on seeing a question in Motoring where some-one had lost a radio knob  34 inches in diameter that surely merited a comment as the size of the actual radio, I was disappointed to find that on the thread it is now only 3/4in.

It'll be characters missing from the font / typeset, or removed for formatting reasons. In the same question you'll see that "radio/cassette" has had the forward slash removed as well.

Answerbank will be database driven. All questions and answers will have to be entered into the database, and then retrieved from it for displaying.

Somewhere during this process, certain characters are stripped, mostly slashes and quotes. This is sometimes for security issues or just compatabilty. Most coding languages offer a workaround, like PHP's stripslashes / addslashes etc...
