Coincidentally tigger, in biology last term, we did an experiment where we gave caffeine to water fleas and had to measure their heatrate using a microscope (their bodies are see-through so you can sea the heart beating!).
Caffeine does not raise blood pressure according to this

We were taught it does because it's a result of raising your heart rate . . .
But the article doesn't deny a cup of coffee would, just says that caffeine doesn't seem to be the cause.

Mind you, we probably have super new improved caffeine in our coffee now.

Two cups of coffee contains 30 mg of caffeine. This is enough to raise your blood pressure and pulse rate significantly. So 30+30=60mg which equals 4cups of coffee 1cup of coffee is 15mg, So 60+15=75mg of caffeine. This right here tells you that if two cup of coffee raises your blood pressure and pulse rate then five cup is really not a good idea for you to drink.
Tigger that is making assumptions about what is a cup of coffee. There is a huge difference between expresso for example and a cup of instant coffee which can be any strength. Also what size is the cup.
