Menopause symptoms

I started getting menopausal about six years ago. Hot flushes, racing heart, mood swings etc. Just over five years ago my gynaecologist put me on oral oestrogen and a Mirena coil. (I had a Mirena coil previously to combat horrendous period pains, and it worked like magic - just wish I'd had that option many years before!). The guidelines said the pills/coil would be safe for three to five years. Over a year ago I started cutting down on the pills - on the advice of my gynaecologist (not the same one, as I've since moved to Germany) to one pill every other day. All was fine, and around the middle of last year I stopped the pills altogether. Still no symptoms. A few weeks ago he took out the coil (ow!!!). Since then I have gradually started getting hot sweats and racing heart at night - it's waking me up again. So far no hot sweats during the day although today I did start feeling a bit dizzy for a while when I was gardening. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do (in a non-chemical hormone sort of way) to combat these symptoms?

They say red clover is good for menopausal symptoms. It`s higher in phytoestrogens than soy.
