Don't you get fed up with Christians trying to take over our pagan festivals?

The Easter fertility festival goes back way before anything to do with the Christians. It is a night time celebration on the first opportunity when the weather not severe enough to force people inside after dark.

The mobility ensure it falls in the third quarter moon phase early in the Northern Spring, avoiding the festival being held on nights with no moon. The first Sunday after the full moon that falls on or follows the Vernal Equinox.

The Christians usurped it by pretending it was the Passover like they did all the old festivals. I don't mind sharing it with them but it sucks when they start complaining about the "true meaning" being lost.

There is no evidence beyond the Bible that Jesus ever existed. The whole story is a concoction which is why the special dates so easily fall on old festivals.
If the traditional calculation is so irritating then don't celebrate it at all since you have obviously entirely missed the point about the nighttime activity.

I am lucky enough to live in a place where the phases of the Moon still mean something and I am a richer person for it.
Yes Beso I know what you mean.. only this morning I awoke with light illuminating the blind so getting out of bed to turn up the heating I discovered that it was 5 AM and a full moon.....again.
On the second coming, he, the son of God, will probably land in a Cadbury's factory, sorry Kraft factory - if there are any left. And the Muslims will not believe their eyes.....and neither will naomi!
