Microsoft office 2007 - excel worksheet problem

In the older version of excel, you could fill colour a cell, then un colour it and still have the outline of the box to that cell. Why is it that in 2007 version, when you go to clear a cell of its colour, it deletes the lines around the cell? I am finding it most annoying, any ideas to what I am doing wrong?

If you are trying to colour the cells white then you will lose the grid lines. Try selecting No Fill
