Does anyone remember the name of a pub in the altrincham area which had mock cottage frontages inside and water features throughout the interior. Any suggestions very gratefully received!

how long ago was this pub open?
It must be as old as you dotty
not sure how you were able to establish that from the scant details in the OP but all credit to you for diving in there and taking an informed guess.
This might not be the right one, but on the main Chester Rd up near the town was a pub called The Orange Tree. In the early 70s it was a cottage-type pub, with similar cottages to the side. Lovely place. Then it was 'modernised'. I don't know about water features, it had lost so much character, I don't think I ever went back. Could give more suggestions if necessary.
