I find It`s going to be a beautiful day by Elbow quite uplifting.
Naz sorry your right. they don't. They had the best song and they can't remember it can they.
the proclaimers 10,000 miles
WShee9 - your deigration of tambo's choice of a Sam & Dave song demonstrates a worrrying bais towards music snobbery.

If you are going to judge that way, the why not make Boney M more important than Jeff Buckley - more people like them after all, and they have sold more records!

I think the S & D song is great, touching, self-depricating, with a good melody. in some cases, that's really all that's required.
It's 500 miles...
not where i come from ummm, thats the distance i want them to be from me

andy - you chastise wshee for musical snobbery and then in the very next sentence demonstrate it yourself. Shame on you.
Actually ludwig - I was merely illustrating my point with an example of sales over 'credibility'.

For the record (!) I possess one jeff Buckley album, two Sam & Dave tracks, but four by Boney M, and as I have stated on here previously, I regard 'Saturday Night' by Whigfield as one of the greatest pop records ever made!

Musical snob? Not I!
You're reprieved then andy. - I think the Boney M guy (the dancer with the affro -Bobby something) died very recently by the way.
Yes Bobby Farrell the dancer and front man although supposedly he didnt actually sing on the records that was Fran Farian the producer and brains behind the group. They did some great tunes, Daddy Cool is my fave!
My fave is 'Sunny' - one of their early singles, which has great strings on it.

Thanks for the reprieve ludwig!
I meant Frank not Fran!!
"Ha-ha...go 5uck your selves if your not taking my original post seriously....assholes... "

Of course you're always right aren't you - you and, ah ..just you.
I hope you have a happy life, you and just you all on your own.
