Maybe our politicians at the time wanted to show a streak of independence rather than asking the US if it was OK for Britain to trade with Libya.
Probably not - they were politicians in government.

The current lot are now lining up their own stinks to assault our nostrils in future years.
is saying 'noo' instead of 'new' still de rigueur ? obviously its side splitting, but i was just wundrin.
"Where there no depths"
I dunno, where?
Most people suspected that they were involved, all Wikileaks has done is to confirm it.

A bit like the NOTW hacking story , most people assumed that newspapers do/are doing/have done it, in one form or another, its only know the truth is starting to come out
"But his report concluded that it was made clear to Libya that the final decision was up to Scottish ministers.

And there was no evidence of Labour pressure on the Holyrood government."

Perhaps their necks are lower than most people's.
Dont know why we have different parties they are all the same really, jumped up youngsters who dont have a clue about real life. Why dont they all just put their names in a hat and draw lots to see who is in the cabinet this year

It's like referring to the tories as the ' Conservatories'

All very silly and the sort of thing you would hear in a junior - no - infant school playground
