Can any fruit be used to make a smoothie? Have just bought a new blender and fancied making a smoothie. Do you just use fruits without skins like berries and a peeled banana.
Do you have a favourite smoothie? A healthy one, not one made with chocolate :-)

Mango
Banana
Blueberry

mind you, I don't use my smoothie maker very often, it's too much of a palaver cleaning it afterwards....
Forest fruits.

Buy bags of them from the frozen section, and whizz them straight from the freezer.

Know what you mean about cleaning it afterwards, but it's a new toy so will get used for a few days at least!
blueberries, raspberries, lime, ice and fizzy water

Wondered about doing that Jayne but do you get gritty bits in it?
I bought my daughter a blender for Christmas and she uses it every day - she puts in pineapple, apple, oranges, in fact just about every fruit which her young son loves. She also makes blends soups, and even manages to chop onions with it!
Don't try to wash it.

Just put hot water into it, and switch it on.

Then wipe.
missprim ... no more than if you used fresh fruit.

And you can sieve it if you like it really smooth.
