does anyone know of a free reverse look up website that you can type telephone No and get the address it's registered to? I've heard they exist.

Ring the number and ask for their address.
You can often do this if it is a company telephone number. Just put the number in the search box on google and press enter
I regret to say that Residential Reverse Look Up(as it is known) is illegal in the UK.
"I've heard they exist."

You've heard wrong. Reverse number lookups are illegal in the UK.

ok thanks for your replies
Chuck - did'nt know it was illegal to do
have tried ringing No and it rings out
The reason for trying to do it is that my Mother (she has dementia) is receiving and paying for carers to come in twice a day to make sure her medication is taken. From a pill count we know she has not been given all of her medication, and we complained to her care provider
She received a call from the service providers "head office" asking if everything is ok with her care - I just wanted to know who made that call
Tony, just google the number and if it is a company number it will come up just as Lottie said. I have to this every month from the comapny BT bill to check 'dodgy' numbers
