Topping Up Soil/lawn

I'll try to explain this so it makes sense.

I live in a short terrace and we all have driveways in front of the houses, ours is a single width. The driveway on the house to the left joins up with mine, so there is no real distinction between the two, I use the mirros and line my car up with the garage to make sure I'm on my driveway. Anyway, the woman next door is not great at parking and often parks quite far over to the right (our side), not giving me much room to menouvre although they have a double driveway. The problem is that the end of my driveway curves inwards which means I have to partly drive accross the lawn to park. It's started to completely ruin that part of the lawn and the mud has compressed so far down that there is now quite a large kerb, which is begining to scrape on the car. So, I need suggestions of what I can do to build it up again. Can I just add more soil and if I do will I be able to (try to) regrow the grass there? Sorry for the long explanation.

Go to a Garden Centre and get a bag of large gravel and pour into a depth of about 6" and compress this with your car to leave about 2" and then cover with soil, then buy a turf or two and lay this on top.

Great answer, thanks Carlton. I was thinking if I just add more soil, over time it will just compact again and I will have the same problem. The gravel sounds a good idea.
Or you could wack a bag of self setting concrete in the hole which sets in no time.

That's an even better idea. The thing is it's a private rent so I don't really want to do anything permanent that's going to upset the landlord.
Try my first option, and if possible lay a short sturdy plank over the turf when poss.

Thanks for the advice Carlton, I'll give your suggestions a try (when the weather brightens up a bit).
Yeah, roll on spring. I`m rolling myself to bed now. g`night all.
There are a number of systems that would solve the problem. Have a look at this site to get the idea. http://www.pavingexpert.com/grasspav.htm
