Mandibular Advancement!

There have been loads of Qs asked about snoring before and I've read them all - but specifically, has anyone tried a gun shield thing called a mandibular advancement device, and what effect did it have if any?  Also, I'd be interested if anyone has tried anything else that works that isn't surgery, as there's no way I can afford that, and isn't the plaster things as they irritate my sensitive skin.  Thanks.

I suffer with sleep apnea,  snoring was part of the condition, I now use a cpap machine which does stop the snoring but might be a little much for you
