Further to my previous post regarding my MacBook.

I was wiping down the desk and had a multi-surface wipe in my hand and decided to clean the mac. I thought that I had dried it off but it looks like I didn't do a very good job.

The keyboard isn't working, some keys are dead and some just type gobbledygook. I have plugged my PC (which, too, has died) keyboard into the macbook and things are going okay.

I am hoping that if I keep my sticky little paws off the keyboard then it will dry out and start working. If not can this problem be fixed? Is it an expensive fix?

You can change a MacBook keyboard. £30(ish) for a replacement. Not sure if it's something you're comfortable doing or how much someone else might charge you but it's not a difficult fix.

Thanks - I will leave it a a while to see if it dries out.

I should have known that it wet was a bad idea - I 'killed' a previous PC keyboard by cleaning it under a shower.

One less thing to worry about.

Considering that the numbers are always above and to the left of the letter being typed on the top row of letters, I think you are trying to pull a few legs on here, don't you????

Thank you society - I couldn't have made this problem up if I tried.

karenmac - will look at the link properly after, if I try anything like that when I am tired I usually either start crying or totally mess things up.

I hope this isn't going to drain my bank account too much. :-)
