My co op, where I work got done over last night.

I popped into work at lunchtime to get a few bits, and recieved the gobsmacking gossip that we'd been robbed last night.

As the two lads were locking up at 10pm, thy were met by 4 guys with crow bars, who then tied them up, and took off with the till contents, the entire stock of fags and the safe contents from the office.

Why am i evil you ask? Well, in the middle of this jaw dropping story, I cracked up laughing, when I heard they'd been bound up with....cellotape!!!

Now c'mon, seriously? As horrifying as it was for those two lads, and believe me, im not saying it wasn't terrifying- i can't be the only one who thinks its funny to be tied up with cellotape.....right?

Well the raiders must have been of a certain age or they would only have had PVA glue (and that takes ages to go off)

y'know society, i never asked that one. I'm assuming they let them go immediately once they'd got all they wanted from the safe etc? The work mate who told me never mentioned "they were tied up for X amount of hours" anyway. I'm not back at work till Thursday, will catch up on the gossip then.

Sellotape? Aw come on I know that stuff can be strong but what criminal carries a roll of sellotape to tie up someone? Cableties yes, Handcuffs yes and the king of all handbinders...Duct tape! Sounds like the guys that were robbed may have been in on the "Robbery"

Davethedog yeah I understand it was the inferior coop but that doesn't mean the robbers should lower their game by using inferior products to do the robbery with. With that kind of mindset then maybe they had rubber knives and their getaway car was a reliant robin?

My Fil got tied up with tape when they robbed the bar he used to work in. It was very upsetting for him (seriously) the stuff has no give and he found it hard to breathe, also his hands and feet swelled up.

Just to reitterate, i dont find it funny that they were tied up, just what was used to do it with.

Sorry if I offended you boo as I have no knowledge of what the co op was till I just googled it and you obviously love where you work and why shouldn't you it's probably a mightily fine establishment that deals with high end products and treats their staff like they were all the monarchy obviously.
