Being a sufferer with parkinsons i am finding walking any distance difficult. What are the criteria for obtaining a disabled parking badge.

It helps a lot redcrx.I will print it off and try to see if i am eligible.Thank you very much.
the forms are sent out by the council, not the gp. You need to call your local council and ask to speak to the person who deals with disab;led badges

Thanks murraymints as i apparently dont qualify automatically.i will have to apply to my local council. If i was unfortunate to be registered blind i could have one. This i find insulting to the blind.
why?

Try driving with your eyes shut,or am i reading it wrong.
'you do not need to own a car or be able to drive one to qualify'
read the whole link properly.
you are reading it wrong. You don't need to be able to drive to get a disabled badge. you don't even need to have something wrong with your mobility - for example my grandad's legs worked perfectly but he suffered from angina meaning he really couldn't walk very far without getting chest pain
I got mine due to COPD and painful hip joints. I can only walk about 40yds and I`m knackered.
