Was anyone else infuriated by the number and length of ad breaks in Lost last night? They even put one in before the opening credits. I thought it broke the tension and completely spoilt the episode. I'm going to wait for the DVD.... Do you think its worth sending a strongly worded email to C4?

I agree.  It seems channel 4 didn't edit the episode to take away the 'American' styles breaks - they often have adverts after the opening credits.

Although we may complain about ad breaks in films etc we are quite fortunate in blighty to have minimum disruption to out viewing compared to our american, and some european, friends.

Lets hope it's a one off by channel 4, otherwise, get your strong words ready!

I have also noticed this and have began watching the repeat on C4 on Sunday at 6.30pm instead, which appears to have less adverts

Pilchard that is very clever...also doesn't keep me up beyond my bed time.

Absolute pain the amount of ads these days. That's the beauty of Sky+, no I don't work for sky or have shares in them! You can setup so you record all your fav programs with a series link then watch when you want and fast forward past the ads. Here's what I usually do in the case of things like lost. once the recording has started at 10, then wait until 10:20 and start watching, when an ad break comes up I fast forward in about 5 secs of x30 and viola next bit, by the end of the program I've caught up. Most hour shows are 2/3 program and 1/3 ads. So get sky+ and never watch another ad!

Send that letter Grimalkin!

It won't change this series but it may stop it becoming the norm on all C4 shows - that would be a nightmare for us but make them a heck of a lot of money!
