Seeing the difference between paper and papyrus

If someone were writing on papyrus would it be obvious or easy or impossible to tell that they were not writing on paper (and vice versa)?

Yes,the difference between Paper and Payrus is quite distinct/obvioust.
This is Papyrus:~

as you can see,the fibres of the payrus plant are quite apparent in the weave of the payrus,and the colour (a sort of creamy yellow) is completely different to the whiteness of paper.

do you mean uf you were watching them write? or you mean the person writing?
Depends on the quality of the paper/papyrus.
And normally if it has lines, a margin and two holes where it can be put in a ringbinder folder it's paper!
