Hi, I have a Fiat Marea Weekend estate R reg and everything was working perfect on it until a couple of months ago when the indicators stopped working, they then went ok and have worked since but after this the heater, lighter, electric sunroof, rear screen de-mister and headlights (bulbs replaced) have all stopped working, electric windows ok at the moment. This all happened at the same time so its obviously not individual problems (I hope)!! Can anyone help before I take it to a mechanic without ne having a clue whats going on? Thanx

HI Zebra

It may be worth checking the fusebox. Sometimes water can ingress into the passenger compartment and cause corrosion on the back of the fuse box giving all sorts of trouble.

Thanks BigB will get that checked out.
It may be worth checking earth wires. I owned several Fiat Panda's that had strange electrical faults. All were cured when I located the earth wires. There were several black wires, all grouped together and earthed to the body with a bolt. I took the bolt out, cleaned each of the ring connectors, the bolt and the surface they bolted to. Never had a problem again.
I would guess that the Marea employes a similar meathod of earthing.

Cheers DirtyHabit, will look into that too, my last car was a Fiat Uno and that also had similar problems but not as many as a more basic car, Fiats, bad electrics but good engines from my experience (touch wood)! Just don't want to get ripped off when I take it somewhere, so appreciate a bit of knowledge.

Hi

I have recently had problems with the starting of my Fiat Marea, i have changed the battery and put an online non returnable filter on as i thought it was the diesel running back i have been adviced that it is not the pump , but when it gets going the car runs fine.

Any help will be appreciated.
