I have seen the Wogan advertisement for Brain Train and think that my father-in-law would enjoy it. However he would never use the Nintendo DS for anything else so can I save on buying the Nintendo and buy the Brain Train game by itself in some other format?

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, that specific software is only available for the DS.

Anyway, 'brain training' doesn't work:

However, if you're seeking a fairly cheap gift, this might be appropriate:

Thanks Chris.
Although can I ask whether this is info that you know from experience or have you googled it?
I am asking because I have tried getting cheap versions of things but have not been impressed. Is the argos link one that you have used and can recommend?
It's just the result of using a bit of lateral thinking and reaching for the Argos catalogue actually, Shivvy ;-)

However, if you scroll down that Argos page (and click the links to the next pages) you'll find 33 reviews from people who've bought that product.

Thanks for your clear advice Chris and pinkilady.

You can buy it but it wouldn't be much use if you don't have a DS to play it on.
