Urgent decision needs to be made by 5pm! So no pressure!
House is nearly finished and decorators have changed the order of rooms - so instead of 4 days to decide on a scheme for our lounge - I have 2 hours!!!!

Any ideas anyone???

House is very light - modern - lounge has large sliding glass door for one entire wall - plus a modern gas pebble fire.

Sofas are choc brown and floor is light oak.

HELP! What would you do?

Would prefer paint - rather than wallpaper. Happy to have more than one colour or tone!
Any ideas???

I have oak flooring and a dark brown leather seating thingy.........my walls are pale ivory.
"I like salla's idea of the duck egg blue (I've never seen a blue duck egg though)"

Like a light blue/grey with odd splashes of duck sh1t and usually a piece of downy a$$-feather stuck on there somewhere ... I'm sure it'll look nice with the floor & sofas, lol ...;-)
It does look lovely nosha, my bedroom. Its brighter than a duck egg, but not too bright that it's dazzling. I have french-style cream bedroom furniture and a few bits & pieces of venetian glass. Cream curtains, beige carpet. Black & silver accessories. I'm very pleased with it - it's feminine without being girlie.
Knickers Nad.

My living room has the feature wall behind the fireplace in duck egg blue, not too pale. Accessories are blue, cream and bronze.

Salla - would you happen to know the shade you used in your bedroom? As I was thinking of doing something similar - then funk it up with a fluffy teal cushion or something!!! Sounds really nice!
I'll get back to you - it was one of those dulux matchpots that you make up. I think one of them was Java Dawn - I'll investigate and get back to you........

Sorry naznomad It's no wonder you thought that oatmeal and hummous cream was so funny as that's what you meant by magnolia as I've just come to understand after googling it. For some mad reason when you said magnolia I pictured maroon in my mind and question your advice on cream floors and brown sofas with a gothic dark red wall paint.
Just checked the website nosha, and my memory - the colour in the living room was Dulux Velvet Touch No 4, and the walls in my bedroom were Javan Dawn No 3.

:-))
My brains circuitry is still fuddled by the lack of nicotine! :)
