I used to turn on my laptop, click on various sites such as my mail, answerbank etc. and I would be automatically signed in. Just lately I have had to enter my username and password every time, despite ticking the box that says either "remember me on this computer" or "keep me signed in for two weeks" or whatever the message is on different sites. Could anyone please advise me how to fix this problem?

I asked this question a couple of weeks back, here are the answers I received

have you cleared out your cookies maybe? That overrides the 'remember me' instructions.
I hadn't realised that if you are signed in when you save in my favourites, the sign in details will save - on somewhere like here, that saves time fiddling about with passwords.

I will look at the link Boxtops. Thank you.
Thank you too JNO, but can you please tell me how to clear out my cookies? - using the simplest language possible as Computerspeak is not one of the languages I understand very much about.

Boxtops - the sites I use every day are in my favourites but these are the very ones I cannot access with signing in every time, and when I want to check my mail or answerbank several times a day it gets a bit frustrating to keep having to enter my details.
if you haven't cleared your cookies, that won't be it. Cookies are bits of information your computer retains when you visit sites, to make going back those sites quicker; usernames and passwords may be among them. I use Firefox and I have it set up so that it automatically deletes cookies and browing history, so I have to sign in every time.

Despite having AB in my favourites, along with my mailbox, I still have to sign on several times a day. Does anyone have any advice please?
I used to have this problem, but all of a sudden after several weeks it sorted itself out and now as soon as I press the first letter of my email address and clk sign in it goes to my email, and I also never sign out of A/B so I don`t need to sign in. I use Virgin Media.
