Put the bin in the cupboard under the sink?
BF had the same problem, even though no food at all ever goes in the kitchen bin. His only choice was to put the bin up in the kitchen side when he went out or in a cupboard.
As per naomi. By far the best place for rubbish anyway. You can then just have a small bin which gets emptied daily and doesn't get to smell.
Shoot the bastard? Crude but 100% success rate.
lots of solutions but what type is it and why can't it go in a cupboard?
Put the dog in a cupboard! Simple :o)
Cowboy - is this a new addition to the family? Bless em all - they have their own habits to challenge all owners. I had to buy a child lock for my fridge door to stop the cats and dogs helping themselves to the meat - either raw or cooked. I always put any bones or carcasses straight into the wheelie bin along with anything else which may have been too big an attraction. Constant monitoring is a favourite training technique of mine, and a fine water spray makes an excellent deterrent - especially the better shot you are. Good luck.
Put some empty tins on top. I must admit we have the same problem and have put the bin on top of the dog cage.
