How long would a groin strain take to heal?. It happened yesterday during a football match and its mild-moderate discomfort. It has no swelling, just a bit of pain when i walk, nothing too bad. Also, how could i treat it?

As it sounds fairly minor, I'd expect you to be fully fit for next Sunday's fixture. (That's based upon many years of refereeing local football, and acquiring quite a few minor groin strains in the process!).

Hi powell, the usual cooling agents, and sadly it will get better when it wants to...

is that with treating it or just letting it do its thing?
That's just with resting it whenever possible.
Question Author
do you mean rest it as much as possible?
Yes.

Limit your exercise and, when you do walk somewhere, deliberately try to adjust your gait to minimise the stress on the affected area. (Be prepared for some gags about 'having cacked your pants' when you walk into the pub!)
