How many before you're banned, is there a limit before time is called?
How many times can you repeatedly transgress site rules annoying all in the process?

have you a particular case in mind? I think it would depend on how ruffled around the boa the ed gets having to delete answers and answer endless emails,
Put this in Ed's blog and you might get an answer frpm the Ed.
It's up to the Ed I suppose. In the case of R1Geezer, inbetween his outbursts, he's a good contributor. I like the way he gets sin binned instead of banned.
not sure about this but it could also be due to multiple reporting?

I think the ones who really do annoy all or commit acts of grand stupidity get short shrift. The rabble rousers and motormouths do add some spice to the site and IMO get treated accordingly. I know for a fact that really abusive and malicious posters get the chuck pretty quickly as well

that's what i mean vibra, I have been on the receiving end once of someone who did mean it...it was very early in the morning when i read the post, i reported it straight away and within 5 minutes the poster was banned
Morning,

I think most of your have the measure of it: If The AB team think you're actually pretty decent, but you've gone over the top or, as is sometimes the case in CB, had too much "lemonade" we'll suspend your account for a bit.

It is a sin bin and is used just as that. We're not in the business of banning good contributors... we just encourage them to go make a cup of tea or something....

I would like to say this now however:

THERE IS NO CORRELATION BETWEEN THE NUMBER OF TIMES A POST IS REPORTED AND SUSPENSION

Please pass this message on next time you read someone say "Well, maybe they were reported [insert arbitrary number] number of times and automatically suspended."

Thanks everyone.
