My Father-in-law (he's 90) likes to play his old videos, but, having bought a new digital telly he can only play his videos in black and white.

Is this because his old machine is incompatible with the digital tv, or is there an adjustment he can make.
Cheers.

Usung a scart lead should be ok.
There is a composite signal carried that any TV would display.
Make sure the digital TV input is set in the menu.It 'may' be set to RGB. If the video has an RGB output switch, select that.
maybe he isn't looking at the scart Ext channel. Check the TV Remote control for a button with blank screen & arrow across.
