Hi , can anyone tell me the vauxhall recommendation for a cam belt change for a 55 plate Meriva 1.7 diesel (Z17DTH). Thanks.

10 years or 60,000 miles.

dont think thats quite right seeing as average milage is calculated at 12,000, if the 60,000 is correct it should be 5 years or 60,000

That would be, 10 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes earliest.
If you do 5,000 miles a year change it at 10 years.
If you do 20,000 miles a year change it at 60,000 miles.

I was surprised to see a 'Z' in your number plate, I thought Z along with I U 0 Q were prohibited numbers, a law laid down by the DVLA.
Have things changed now?
