I even sat in garden at 3.30 this morning for half an hour an it went off 3 times .. Could it be an electrial fault? Doesant happen during day .. Any advice please ? ( it's a ford focus) x

Now that the nights are getting colder it could be an indication your car battery is on the way out, if your alarm senses a voltage drop it will go off.

Thanks dougie that makes sense I'll get it checked out .. Thanks alot :)
it could be a faulty sensor as i had this problem on a 3 series a few years back. only went off at night, turned out the bonnet sensor was faulty.

Thanks .. I've not locked it with the fob just with the key so I'm hoping the alarms not on .. I can't take all the evils my neighbours are giving me lol :)
Do car alarms still run on air pressure sensors?
If so, it could be the temperature affecting air pressure in your car
