Why use court instead of CSA

Currently I pay my ex wife maintenance ( though not through the CSA) for our 2 children. Since my children moved in with her last December, I have continued to receive child benefit for them and I forward this to my ex.
I recently thought to myself that this act may be illegal and have asked my Ex to claim it herself - and for some reason she does not want to.
She is a very angry person and has threatened to take me to court for more money (its her way of attempting to punish me) but if I am paying what the CSA guidelines suggest- what would that achieve? I'm already providing- something she didn't do for the three years I the children lived with me.
Would a court bother with this? Have I anything to worry about?
Thanks in advance

Gender: not set.
Mmm.
Are they your children? Do you want them to wear rags and live on scraps. Support them as much as you can.
Two questions from this poster, one is female one is male. Work that one out if you can.
I hope you pay your wife in a traceable way - so you can prove you are passing on the child benefit to her.
You should not be claiming it. Inform them that the children no longer live with you and leave it up to her whether she claims it or not.
She will achieve nothing by taking you to court.
sandyroe, that is very insulting and abusive. Did you read the post?
He supported the children alone for three years without any maintenance from his wife.
He is paying support to his wife and is forwarding the child benefit to her.

Now, what exactly is he doing wrong for you to be so offensive?
