I`ve been watching the TV in the States and Sarah Palin seems to be very high profile. It`s almost like she has a second wind
I don`t think it will be H Clinton though. I think her opportunity has passed
Palin... be afraid, be very afraid http://tinyurl.com/39ruvzo
It had better not be Sarah Palin - she has already proved that her knowledge of anything outside the US is very limited, the last speech she made on TV was empty rhetoric. Clinton for me, if I had to choose.
Box - your description of Sarah Palin sounds like the description of George W.

Palin has momentum, the american electorate love momentum and also rhetoric, no matter how empty it may be. I am not accusing either of such but my good money is on Palin, £1,000 to win at the best odds I can get this next week. Prudentia
I hope you're wrong Prudentia, she'll need a good advisory team around her if you collect!
As one of the few Americans on the site, and one who leans to the right politically, let me say that Sarah Palin would never get my vote. There are plenty of good ideas floating around the Republican party right now, none of them coming from her. Right now the US electorate identifies roughly 30/30 Republican/Democrat, with the 40% in the middle as independent. Independents swung big for Obama in 2008, and are turning away from him now just as strongly. But there is nothing about Sarah Palin that would appeal to the median US voter. She would play well in the US South, but to win the presidency you need to take at least a few of the big states (New York, California, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois...). I don't see it happening at this point.

We have to wait and see, after dr. b's comments and soundings from my plethora of american relatives and friends, numbering many hundreds, I will up my stake by ten times. Palin will be the first woman president of the US, absolutely no doubt.. Who would have predicted the hapless and hopeless obama ever being president! He is beyond useless. Prudentia
dr b - fault of the site at the moment, posters ending up in a category they weren't expecting.
Perhaps you should put a few pence on Mike Pence:

MY good money is on Palin, I never ever back non runners, please take note and remember! Prudentia.
Well She'll get the Ice road trucker vote anyway. Oh and the Mony Python vote.
I think Hilary has missed the boat - its a pity, as I think she had a lot to offer in terms of her experience and skills - a very capable person and would have done a good job I think.
Maybe palin.......
