Had our boiler etc checked th eother day & the guy said that our shower head (large 'rain' type' was not really suitable for use with a combi boiler, but that we could fit an adaptor which would rectify the low pressure problem we had. Unfortunately he didn't have any with him, otherwise he would have fitted one but he also failed to tell us what it was called & where we could get one. Does anyone have any ideas what he was on about?

Slightly confused here Ninja .................... your problem is more likely to be flow rate, rather than pressure.......... ie the combi restricts the flow while it's heating the water.
I'm always reluctant to faff about with "adaptors" ............... surely a better bet would be to change the shower head to a smaller diameter. They're easily available, quite cheaply.
I have a 75mm (3 inch) head at home, with a combi. You could probably use a 100mm with no problem.
