Unable to close pages on laptop

My laptop has jammed up on a page, I tried to do system restore and it jammed up on that too, I am able to open up a new tab and connect to the net but the previous pages are still jammed and I cant close them, has anyone got any ideas what I can try and do with it, thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by a 'page' - is it a web page that is stuck? Have you tried going into Task Manager and selecting End Task
