paypal- confirming bank account

I'm a newbie to ebay and made a paypal account. to confirm my bank account hey said they wwill put 2 amounts of money in and i have to go back with how much to confirm its my account. i have not received these payments to confirm my account, which i presume is because it's a bank holiday. can i still buy and bid for things on ebay? theres an item i want to purchase in the next half an hour!!!

the amounts of money can take up to 5 days to get into your account. You can pay through paypal using a credit card as I do, my PP account isn't connected to my bank account now.

I think you can still bid for things on ebay, but your paypal accounty won't be shown as verified until you go complete the verification process

i dont trust myself with a credit card im only 18! so i can still buy things? how will i go about paying for them ?

You could pay by cheque if they will let you - explain that you are new and have'nt yet had your paypal account verified

Saraah does your bank account come with a debit card?
I use my debit card for ebay.

yep i have a debit card for the account im trying to verify. the item says paypal only

It's Paypal I use. My card is registered to Paypal.
Have you tried that?

While you wait for confirmation, it's always worth asking the seller if they mind waiting a few days while it verifies. Don't expect them to send you the item before they receive payment though. :)
