How easy is it for a novice user to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7? I'm happy enough with Vista but like the look of my friends Windows 7. would it be advisable to get my local laptop expert to do it for me?
I have an Acer aspire 5735 which came with Vista already installed but I did a back up as per instructions before I started to use it (5 DVD's).

If you are happy with Windows Vista stick with it.

I dont think Vista is as bad as people make out, and W7 is not as great as everyone makes out (not saying it is bad, but not the wonder product you would guess from the comments about it).
I agree that if you have a good working, stable install of vista why upgrade, vista is not that bad as long as it working OK.

If you really want to upgrade then look here and check your computer is suitable first.
