Failed to connect to IMAP

My computer always shows '[user name] failed to connect to IMAP server' for my main user name. This doesn't trouble me much as I rarely used that name, preferring my other name, but how should I solve this problem and is it a symptom of something such as a virus?

Reconfigure the e-mail account under your main user name, to match the settings under your other name.
