Your obsession with the BBC is getting quite tiresome.......
Question Author
If you keep reading them jack they can't be that bad :)
Oh, they are..............

Jack it is a big site if you are unhappy with my post don't read simples
I'm just intrigued to see if you can wring a new angle from your issues with the BBC and the TV licence..........it would appear that you can't.
Seems quite reasonable for the salary of a Vice Chairman, personally I'd love that kind of wage but realistically I don't have the qualifications to do it pretty much in the same way that I'll never be a premiership footballer.Wayne Rooney...nearly £200,000 a week really nice if you can get it.
In all your excitement you forgot to ask a question. Was it one of these?

Is Jackie Smith a suitable candidate? - No

Does the Daily Express' owner charge too much for his pornography? - Yes

Does the BBC make the best TV, Radio and Internet in the world? - Yes

Is the £145.50 licence fee a bargain compared to the full SKY cost of £612? - Definitely!
Was the £80,000 voluntary redundancy package that my friends boyfriend got from the BBC a good deal? Yes of course it was. I`m very happy that my hard earned licence fee payed for this (not)!
He must be taking after Grotit

yes, the comparison with Wayne Rooney's salary seems fair enough.

Can the BBC rank with the best in the world? Yes.

Can an England footballer rank with the best in the world? Nope, as has recently been proved embarrassingly clearly.
What is the obsession? And do you really read the replies as the majority disagree with you.

Hope your friend is home soon....
Rebel, are you complaining about a) Jacqui Smith because she was stupid enough to claim porn on expenses (and others did far worse by way of claims), or b) the salary? Couldn't say about a), b) seems reasonable for a job of that seniority.
RebelSouls obsession seems to stem from his issues with the TV licensing authorities. I'm still not clear whether he/she was prosecuted for not having a licence but certainly the issue has touched a raw nerve with him/her.
It's a shame that the scattergun approach and choice use of language has turned so many of us away from what are important issues- how the BBC should be funded (if at all) and should it be more accountable. When over half a million UK households dodge the fee, including someone on here who boasts about dodging it, it is right we should ask whether there is a fairer and more efficient way of funding the BBC.
I think it's fair. We are billed the same way we are billed for our other household outgoings. They give us the same choice of paying....monthly/quarterly/annually....It's a decent price. Can't ask fairer than that.

Instead of comparing the England team why not compare Chelsea or Manchester United or Arsenal now they are the best in the world

I just dont think there is one viable reason as to why we are still having to pay for the TV licence, i honestly cant!
Its all about fat cats & personalities being paid outrageous fee's,just like footballers & actors, but then again i have the right to choose not to go to a football match or the cinema, and i dont go! With the Tv licence i have to fund the BBC even if i never watch it.

What part of give people a choice do some of you not understand, if the BBC is so good encrypt the signal if i am right you will have to pay a lot more if i am wrong you will lose nothing. Are you afraid of the truth ?
"Chelsea or Manchester United or Arsenal now they are the best in the world"
And remind me how they did in Europe - never mind the world - last year?
Question Author
Did United or Chelsea not win the Euro cup the other year or do you have to win it every year in your eyes.
