I jsut found out that my parents applied for me to be on 'worlds strictest parents' BUT I completely failed, apparantly i'm better than the end result, and why would they dream of putting me on the programme.

apparantly it's because i don't do any of the following;

party and come home high and drunk the enxt day.
drink lots of alcahol
smoke
swear at my parents
fail at school

I do the most around the house even though my mum is fully capable of doing it and could work if she could be bothered, every week I see jobs in the paper she could do but never bothers, after i get back from scotland i'm printing off my cvs and handing them everywhere i can think of. I understand that there are kids out there that need to do lots around the house because their parents are disabled etc but mum is fitter than me. i still had to do all my chores when I had an exam the next day.
have you ever sat down and spoken calmly and rationally to your parents about how your opinions of the status quo seem so different?
OMG....how horrendous. Phone social services....

Molly......sigh...
It's shocking....

At Molly's age I had two jobs. I worked in a hotel Fri, Sat and Sundays...

Worked in the pub every afternoon after school. The cheek of my Grandparents...!!! They also made me clean my bedroom...
Molly you;re not a little princess living in a big castle with sevants, you have siblings and they probably make a mess and need feeding and need their laundry done too, what is that phrase? What did your last slave die of? Are you saying your mum should do everything and you should not have to lower yourself to doi anything? Do you think the small amount of child benefit your mum gets for you eac month is sufficient to keep a roof over your head and food on the table?
Molly to be fair to your mum when she did have a job you described it as poxy. You've probably given her a complex about working.
Deaf ears...
I think there are probably wrongs on both sides.
It's always the way, parents and teenagers go through difficult times together. Teenagers tend to be very moody, and kick up a fuss when they have to do chores etc. Although you won't see it in yourself, you just believe that your parents are in the wrong and thats it.
Just like the fact that your parents are the adults, they believe that they are doing what is best for you, they will help you in the future. But parents do make mistakes too, you must accept this.
If you go off to university, or rent a flat for yourself, you'll be on your own, with no one to do the housework for you, or cook your dinners when you can't be bothered.
If you actually sat down and thought for a minute of what your parents do for you.
Do they cook your dinners? Do they pay for you food/clothes/books/internet/water? Do they do the laundry? Do they iron your clothes?
Although you won't realise it, your parents are only trying to do their best for you, whether you think it's wrong or right.
You should sit down with them, and actually talk to them (not shout) and explain that you are upset that they tried to send you on a tv programme about how bad you are as a teenager.
You and your parents need to find a happy compromise, where you do some chores, and your parents lighten up on you.
