Does anyone know if this is now open and in use?

i applied a job in UK, is it a requirement to have BTA [basic travel allowance]?

What is BTA fee?

The Newport City Council website mentions the refurbishment but has received no updates in the last 6 months...

Perhaps this signifies the non-completion of works but you could contact the Friends of Newport Transporter Bridge (FONTB) charity for further information...

Thanks for the info, the Newport City Council site does need updating.

UPDATE: Work to refurbish the Transporter Bridge is now complete and the historic bridge re-opens with a ceremony at 10.30am on Friday 30th July 2010.
