It's the start of the school holidays and I live in a holiday area. All I have heard on the roads today are police cars and ambulances. The grockles are coming down in their droves.

Just a reminder - just because it's the holidays and you and the kids are happy and perhaps going away, please please don't drive in silly holiday mode.

It's the same here every year.

Take care! PLEASE

Don't mind shorts with a t-shirt but please no socks with sandals!
We are not benefitting from the girries much due to the "all-in" holidays and boy are they rough!

Shorts are fine with T shirts. But bare chested men anywhere apart from the beach or in their own backyard are an absolute no no. Unless of course they have a bod like Daniel Craig!! Keep those sweaty bodies covered on holiday please!!
Oh yes defo, and even on beach cafes, hate sweaty chests!
Hi Lottie & all, I've always noticed that every time the sun comes out - you seem to get more nutters on the road! I just don't understand the mentality of these people.

We live near a town & have a police station nearby & an ambulance station at the end on our road, hence sirens always whirling in the distance! Thankfully, the ambulances are not allowed to put their sirens on until they leave our road.

Thank goodness for the church bells that chime at evensong & at weekends - it restores my faith in humans!
Oh & sox with sandals, a definite 'no, no' Neti!
We live in Somerset. near the M5 so the roads from now one will be blocked and very busy.! Already started tonight with accidents and tail backs. Yes we call them grockles as well.!
I think you are right LL. I live in a seaside town and have heard about 4 ambulance whizzing around the town today. Dont know whats going on. I work at the local hospital and we`ll get loads of sun burnt or heatstroke people in over the next few weeks.
