My long term girlfriend is currently undergoing ongoing treatment for secondary bone cancer, following on from recent breast cancer. Despite me thinking she is still beautiful, she however is fed up of looking tired and run down all the time. I was thinking that a makeover would be a nice thing for her, and was wondering if anyone had applied, or knew how to apply to shows like This Morning/Gok Wan etc to see about getting one done.

In my opinion she thoroughly deserves it as she is so brave, so would love to know how to go about it.

Thanks in advance.

That is so lovely of you. She is very fortunate to have someone who loves her to support her through this difficult time and I wish both of you the best. As to your question, if you follow this link, there is a contact option right at the bottom of the page. I'm sure if you just tell them what you have said here they would do their best to help you.

What a lovely thought. I hope she feels better soon.
I echo karen & greedy's sentiments - a lovely thought ninja. I hope you have some success x Do let us know....
If you don't succeed with the link Ninja it may be worth just writing a letter/email to them explaining the situation and reasoning for the make over. I am sure they will be more than happy to oblige.

Thanks to all of you for your kind comments.

I will give the link a go and will let you know how it goes!
There is a fantastic charity called Look Good Feel Better which offer sessions to cancer patients who feel like they need a pick me up. They go through a basic skincare & full makeup, specialising on how to pencil on eyebrows, give the illusion of eyelashes etc. All the patients get a goody bag worth around £300 with all the products they need. They're all donated from the premium beauty counters & volunteers from the counters help with demonstrations. I volunteer at the LGFB at York & it really is fantastic to see the boost it gives the ladies. Have a look at their website & contact them. Even if your local hospital isn't doing it, they may be able to get you a place at the closest one to you.
The other thing with look good feel better is it is usually a group thing...so a chance to meet other ladies going through similar things and swap 'coping' hints....you could book a photo session for her afterwards ....
My mother in law had a session with the charity NicM refers to and she said it was wonderful :)
