My 2005 corsa has aserious water leak into the drivers side both front and back floors. Anyway after a lot of people looking at it my mate pulled out a grommet under the drivers door and loads of water poured out.
I have since left this 'plug out and the inside of the car has dried out.
Obviously water is getting inside the bottom of the door sill and filling it up then seeping into the footwells.
Anyone any ideas where it could be getting in?

Many moons ago Kyral I had this problem with a Vauxhall Polo. Upon investigation it was found that the seal along the bottom of the wind down window was about a quarter inch too short and the water was going down slowly between the window and the door and filled up the plastic membrane inside. When that was full it then overflowed into the door space and seeped through and under the carpets. One point, make sure they cure it before the winter because I can tell you it is no joke getting into a car and trying to drive it when the footwell is an ice rink!!! Anyway, good luck! :0)

The window seals are probably the culprit, they have either become misaligned or worn. The doors should have drainage holes on the bottom edges, which need to be kept clear. Use a piece of wire to clear them out.
thank you mdoo98 ~ that'll teach me to type in the early hours! I have a Corsa now but the wet one from bygone times was, of course, a VW Polo! Mea culpa etc!!

thanks for all your answers, hopefully I can get it sorted.

I spent most of the winter driving with an ice rink under my feet lol, not the best of fun.
