I am trying to find the author of a hardcover book I had in the 1970s called "Horses and Ponies". This book featured grey horses galloping against a green grass background. Inside the book was a photograph of Princess Anne on "Doublet" and a chapter about training of Lippizzaner horses at the Spanish Riding School of Vienna.

The following authors all had books called 'Horses and Ponies' published around that time:

2. Jennifer Baker. (Published in 1974 by Pan Books under the 'Piccolo' imprint. Full title = "Horses and Ponies: A Picture Survey". Originally published as "A Source Book of Horses and Ponies" by Ward Lock in 1973).

3. Stephanie Connell and Nicole Lagneau. (Published in 1976 by MacDonald Educational but listed in the British Library catalogue as an adaptation of a book with the same title, published by MacDonald, in 1972).

4. David Lambert. (Published in 1977 by Purnell, with Trisha Pike as the series editor of 'Little Big Books')

5. Robert Owen. (Published in 1978 by Hamlyn).

6. Dennis Knight. (The book, which was published in 1978 by Royal Sovereign Group in their 'Activity Books' series, contained 'Letraset instant pictures').
7. Dorothy Ward. (Published in 1979 by Hamlyn under the 'Insight Books' imprint)

8. Anne Taylor. (Published in 1979, in the 'My First Animal' series, by Intercontinental Book Productions).

9. Georgie Henschel. (Published in 1979, as a 'Kingfisher Guide', by Ward Lock)

10. Sally Gordon. (Also published in 1979 by Ward Lock).

11. Judith Campbell. (Originally published in 1970, re-published in 1979, by Hamlyn. Dugald McDougall illustrated the book).
