I don't know this quiz, but it looks like -

Fences - F (6th letter) + anag 'scene'

anagram of scene + F which is the sixth letter

I was going to answer Chicken (from the song) for the other one, but it's misleading as the song is actually asking for an Egg for their tea, not chicken, but egg doesn't fit!
