1/2 cabbage sliced
1 medium onion sliced
cupful of peas (optional)
1 medium sliced potatoes (optional)
1 teaspoon tumeric
1 teaspoon minced green chillies
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon dhana jeeru
salt to taste
1 teaspoon garam masala
chopped coriander leaves to garnish

in a heavy based pan (frying pan ideal) fry the onion in some oil
then add all the spices except for the garam masala & corainder leaves.
stir fry for about a minute and add the cabbage. stir again coating all the cabbage with the spice mixture. Add a little water about 20ml just to help it all steam - cover with a lid. Every now and again give it a quick toss around making sure it doesn't stick. When the cabbage is half cooked add the potatoes and/or peas and stir again, cover & cook until the potatoes are tender. Finish off by adding the garam masala & coriander leaves.
