Hey all,

Would making curry with eggs in it and then reheating it later give someone food poisoning!?

Just wondering as my sister made curry last night, and my sister in law was really really ill during the night, so we are thinking my sister has given her food poisoning!

Ta! :-)

insufficiently reheating anything or properly reheating anything that wasn't cooled quickly and cooked and stored in clean conditions can give food poisoning. If she's over it now, its unlikely to have been food poisoning though.
You can get very bad food poisoning from badly re-heated rice, so perhaps it was that, rather than the egg curry.
It sounds from wiggals post as though her sis is over it so very unlikely to be rice, but you are correct, rice is dodgy to reheat

Thanks for your answers.

She isn't over it, she has spent the day in bed asleep with my sister looking after her, she is completely wiped out, but hopefully stopped being ill now.

My sister has had a pretty tough time recently and it is the first time I will have been up to see her in the 3 months it has gone on, and she will be meeting my OH for the first time properly! :-(
