no occasion just to let them know they're special someone you love but not in a romantic way.

umm find out something that they really HATE to do and do it for them?? a picnic?? dedication on the radio?? cook a meal??

Write it all down in a letter.  Hand write it and present it in a frame or whatever.  Or find a song which you think does all of that for you and burn it onto a CD and give it to them.

You can complete & print personalised 'gift of time' certificates online completed with something you would like to give or do for the person. e.g Cook a favourite meal, do a chore, I just googled gift certificate and some came up.
