How do you transfer a DVD to a memory CARD. I could put a stick into the USB port but do you need special hardware for a card?

I think you could just drag and drop from one to the other.

How do I plug the card into the computer to transfer the data?

If you have no special port on your computer to plug the SD card in then you can buy adaptors with a usb plug on the end.
