I've just had a disaster...............Tesco have delivered the shopping minus ANY wine. Rang the daughter.....she is bringing some round.
How can Tesco not have any wine?

Redman they are sh!t.........some time ago I ordered some gin.....shopping arrived and NO gin........daughter was in Tesco at the time.....bucketloads of gin!

Tesco have this price match offer that if they haven't the thing you ordered they'll give you similar (more expensive) but match the price. As 3 bottles of wine were on offer for half price, they must have run out, but considered it too expensive to price match with a similar replacement.

There would be an increase in profits overnight :-)

NoM i wasn't aware of this price match thingy until I'd ordered a couple of ready meals for one, and as they hadn't any they sent, for the same price, ready meals for two. At the time I was quite impressed, but it would appear that it is now stopping reasonable substitutions.

I think most Supermarkets are now going along the lines of 'Buy 3 for £10' in their Wine Section. You can make some good savings on some of their Wines as well.

I'm mightily peed off that I'm going to lose 30 euros on my Club de Carrefour. I had 15 euros carry over and I've since accrued another 15. :-(
