Hi. My son was caught without insurance, and as yourself it was a mistake as we thought he was insured. They took his car, took his licence and will have 6 points when it comes back. It is an automatic revication of a licence if in the first 2years of having a licence, which means new test and everything. Hope things workout.

People need details to give accurate answers.
your insurance company would NOT cancel your insurance after one missed payment , they would send you a letter asking for payment and ask you to set up another direct debit!

i know this as fact as it has happened to me on a few occasions.

1st thing did you not notice it had not came out your bank?

if i had changed banks i would have checked to make sure!!

3 weeks is a very long time are you sure it only came today? quite convenient if you ask me!

quinn i think is an irish company it could have been delayed because of the airports being down but still think 3 weeks is a little long and still don't think they would have cancelled that quick maybe when your 2nd one never came out , did they not phone you?
Last thing Phone up quinn insurance , they are an Irish company but do have one depot in Manchester , explain that you changed your bank detail and what date this was done, they will be able to check the phone records, hence they will be able to clear up the misunderstanding if they ask why you didn't check you bank to make sure it had been taken out (because it is your responsibility to do so) , tell them you did on the day it was due to come out but had given them a few days incase there was a delay because you had just changed details, and then you had forgotten about checking again (people make mistakes )
